Cell-based fluorescence assay for human immunodeficiency virus type 1 protease activity.
Original language description
We developed a new HIV protease assay based on transient expression of artificial protease precursor harboring green fluorescent protein reporter. The assay provides a convenient and noninfectious model for high-throughput screening of substances that can interfere with PR activity in living cells.
