The complex enzymesare associated with the cytoplasmic membrane via DNA interaction.

    Byla analyzována lokalizace restrikčně-modifikačních enzymů EcoKI, EcoAI a EcoR124I (reprezentantů skupin IA, IB a IC) v bakteriální buňce. EcoR124 se velmi podobá EcoKI v tom, že oba tyto komplexní enzymy jsou asociovány s cytoplasmatickou membránou v důsledku interkace s DNA.
