Cellular localization of representatives of different families of Type I restriction-modification enzymes (EcoKI, EcoAI, and EcoR124I) was analyzed. EcoR124I shows characteristics similar to those of EcoKI. The complex enzymes are associated with the cytoplasmic membrane via DNA interaction.

Czech description
Byla analyzována lokalizace zástupců jednotlivých skupin restrikčně-modifikačních enzymů typu I (EcoKI, EcoAI a EcoR124I) v bakteriální buňce. EcoR124 se velmi podobá EcoKI v tom, že oba tyto komplexní enzymy jsou asociovány s cytoplasmatickou membránouv důsledku interkace s DNA .
