    Rhodococcus equi A4, Rhodococcus erythropolis NCIMB11540 and Rhodococcus sp. R312 were investigated towards their ability to produce -aminoamides and acids from -aminonitriles. The microorganisms show comparable trends: ?ve-membered alicyclic 2-aminonitriles were transformed signi?cantly faster than the six-membered compounds and the products of trans-2-aminonitriles (amides and acids) were formed considerably faster than the cis-counterparts(amides). The trans-?ve membered nitriles gave the amides in excellent enantiomeric excess (94?99%), the biotransformation of trans-sixmembered substrates resulted in the formation of the acid in excellent ee (87?99%).The e.e.s of the cis-compounds were throughout lower. Fifteen new substances were synthesized andcharacterized in the course of this work

    Rhodococcus equi A4, Rhodococcus erythropolis NCIMB11540 a Rhodococcus sp. R312 byly testovány na schopnost produkovat -aminoamidy a kyseliny z -aminonitrilů. Mikroorganismy vykazovaly podobné trendy: pětičlenné alicyklické 2-aminonitrily byly transformovány rychleji než šestičlenné a produkty trans-2-aminonitrilů (amidy a kyseliny) se tvořily rychleji než cis-isomery (amidy). Trans-isomery pětičlenných nitrilů dávaly amidy ve výborných enantiomerních přebytcích (e.e. 94-99%), biotransformace trans-isomerů šestičlenných nitrilů poskytla kyseliny ve výborných enantiomerních přebytcích (e.e. 87-99%). Enantiomerní přebytky cis-isomerů byly nižší. Bylo připraveno a charakterizováno 15 nových sloučenin
