    Formation of stres granules (SGs) has not yet been described in S. cerevisiae. We showed that robust heat shock induced accumulation of eIF3a/Tif32p/Rpg1p in cytoplasmic foci. They also contained eIF3b/Prt1p, eIF3c/Nip1p, eIF4G2, Pab1p, mRNA and small but not large ribosomes and eIF2a/Sui2p. Surprisingly, Dcp2p and Dhh1p P-body markers also co-localized with eIF3a, however, since formation of eIF3-accumulations required different scaffolding proteins than P-bodies, we suggest that they represent yeast specific SGs

    Robustní teplotní stres nezávisle na fosforylaci eIF2alfa indukuje v kvasince Saccharomyces cerevisiae tvorbu stresových granulí obsahujících eIF3 a 40S ribosomální podjednotku

    Tvorba stresových granulí v kvasince Saccharomyces cerevisiae dosud nebyla popsána. Ukázali jsme, že robustní teplotní stres indukuje akumulaci eIF3a/Tif32p/Rpg1p v cytoplazmatických ohniscích. Ty také obsahují eIF3b/Prt1p, eIF3c/Nip1p, eIF4G2, Pab1p, mRNA a malou, ale ne velkou ribosomální podjednotku a faktor eIF2a/Sui2. V těchto místech se překvapivě také nachází proteiny P-bodies Dcp2 a Dhh1. Jelikož však akumulace eIF3 vyžaduje jiné strukturální proteiny než P-bodies, považujeme vznikající akumulace eIF3a za stresové granule
