Original language description
The influence of stringent response on production of valine in recombinant strain of Corynebacterium glutamicum was tested. Increased production of valine was most probably caused by high activity of acetohydroxy acid synthase, the key enzyme of the biosynthesis of branched-chain amino acids. Positive effect of stringent response was shown in stationary growth phase due to maintaining high activity of acetohydroxy acid synthase and other enzymes of branched-chain amino acid biosynthesis
