DNA delivery systems based on complexes of DNA with synthetic polycations and their copolymers.

  • Original language description

Block and graft copolymers of N-(2-hydroxypropyl)methacrylamide with 2-(trimethylammonio)ethyl methacrylate were synthesised and used for preparation of polyelectrolyte complexes with calf thymus DNA, which possessed improved in vitro transfection efficiency and produced higher gene expression in the cytoplasmic injections than homopolymer complexes and free DNA.
