Original language description
Novel type of bifunctional ATRP initiator with trichloromethyl end groups was synthesized. The initiator was used for methyl methacrylate polymerization giving rise to well defined polymer with tert-halide group at both ends of the polymer chain. The synthesized polymer can be used as a bifunctional macroinitiator for synthesis of ABA-type block copolymers.
