Catalytically active, molecularly imprinted polymers in bead form.
Original language description
Bead sized particles of molecularly imprinted polymers were prepared by suspension copolymerization of ethylene dimethacrylate vinylamidines and phenyl phosphates as template molecules. Particle size and particle size distribution is affected by polymerization stabilizer and intensity of stirring. The effect of the polymer composition on morphology and porous structure was investigated. After template hydrolysis the catalytic activity of imprinted polymers was tested by hydrolysis of diphenyl carbonateand diphenyl carbonate.
