Original language description
In this work, we present optical and structural properties of fluoride nanocrystals doped with lanthanide ions (?-NaGdF4:Eu3+, ß-NaGdF4:Yb3+,Er3+ and ß-NaGdF4:Yb3+,Tm3+) obtained in modified co-thermolysis method. We discuss some aspects of their functionalization with ligand exchange and silanization approaches and present some potential application of their use as optical labels.
