This paper intends to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of pupils aged 12-15 as far as their competence of application of anglicisms is concerned, as well as the opportunities and threats which this competence presents for us, the teachers of English. The core of the analysis is based on a survey implemented in two different types of schools among 111 respondents.
