The Lambda-structure of Texts
Original language description
The frequency structure, called lambda, of 1185 texts from 35 languages is analyzed. We study the control of frequency structure in one text, one genre, and one language. Furthermore, we compare individual texts consisting either of one or of several parts and propose some tests for future investigation.
