Evaluating courses in distance learning systems under uncertainty
Original language description
Distance learning systems offer very useful method of learning in various courses. Courses can be created with various types of information (texts, images, videos, audio files, etc.). After completion of the course, students may have different experiences with course. So, it is appropriate to give them possibility to rate course in comprehensive manner. The paper proposes expert system and fuzzy approach for evaluating courses by students. Proposed approach identifies criteria for evaluation of specificcourse and generates questionnaire that is shown to students. After collecting filled questionnaires from students, the expert system with knowledge base is proposed. Subsequently, course is evaluated by expert system. Finally, the evaluation of courseis visualized and shown to user. Proposed fuzzy approach works with possible uncertainties in questionnaires and processes them by expert system.
