Desemantisation of Language in Learning Environments
Original language description
The following two abstraction transfers play an important part in the cognitive process: isolated models ? generic models ? abstract knowledge in which a pupil?s semantic experience gradually changes into abstract knowledge. The concept of desemantisation is related to this process. It emphasizes the fact that once abstract knowledge is formed, it is no longer dependent on the initial semantic ideas and can exist independently. The workshops will focus on topics from elementary mathematics connected tothe function of mathematical language in the process of generalization and abstraction of both concepts and relationships. Discussed will also be the issues of reversibility and irreversibility.
