The chloride induced corrosion of steel reinforcement embedded in concrete is a significant issue that threatens the service life of exposed concrete structures. This service life is generally divided into two phases; namely the initiation period and thepropagation period. This paper presents a contribution to determine concrete cover cracking time based on the concept of critical corrosion products, penetration depth and degradation of steel reinforcement. Electrical resistivity values of high-performance concrete (HPC) mixtures with different binary and ternary cementitious combinations were used to compute concrete cover cracking time. The stochastic approach uses?Korozeeneck? software to simulate multiple parameters that govern the corrosion, accounting for uncertainties associated with measured histograms of real data. Results from the probabilistic analysis predicted that the HPC mixtures greatly delayed concrete cover cracking time compared with the control and OPC mixtures and
