The article represents possible applications artificial muscles from SMA material in anthropomorphic grippers. We can use this anthropomorphic grippers for applications in service robots too. The next part represents an anthropomorphic gripper, which wasdesigned at the Department of Robotics. The gripper used an artificial muscle in the shape of a spring from SMA material as a drive. The article also deals with the apparatus by which the muscle can be tested.
