NEW TRENDS IN DEVELOPMENT OF BUSINESSES AND PRODUCTION SYSTEMS
Original language description
During the last thirty years most of the businesses went through considerable changes. Most methods used for "how to become leaner" come mainly from Japan. These methods include e.g. Lean, Kaizen, six sigma, etc.. The companies must be able to respond tovery prompt and frequent customer requirements and therefore the companies must become more flexible. The mass production is slowly shifting to a mass job-order manufacture (mass customization). For a company it means to have well mastered manufacturingprocesses, but also the ability to quickly change setting of machines. Also the sector of logistics is associated with production systems and asserts itself more and more into the forefront of well-functioning companies. The employees play an importantrole in every company and they must become an integrated part of a well- functioning company.
