Original language description
The article describes the measurement of the mechanical properties of steel 42CrMo4+QT with using the Split Hopkinson pressure bar apparatus. This method is used for testing material properties under high strain rate in range of approximately 10^2 - 10^4 s-1. Based on measured data for four different strain rates were set parameters for Cowper-Symonds material model for FEM analyses. The test was simulated with the use of Ansys explicit solver and the set material parameters and results were compared
