Using PAC System for Temperature Monitoring
Original language description
Recently, the new and modern trend in the area of automation and measurement known as PAC has gained ground. These systems have PLC functions such as reliability, robustness, autonomous and stability and extend them by powerful PC functions such as SW architecture flexibility etc. By means of these systems it is possible to implement powerful and wide autonomous systems focused on automation, control, measurement etc. The paper deals with use of PAC system, particularly with system WinPac 8000 series. In this paper the design and implementation of measurement chain for temperature measurement is described. The measurement chain is based on central unit WinPac-8000 with special I/O units designed for temperature sensors such as thermocouples and RTD. The design of measurement chain is done by Matlab/Simuling and REX and finally it is uploaded to the central control unit WinPac. In this paper the algorithm for temperature measurement, data processing, data storage in the SQL database and
