    The principals of operation of the automated current collection diagnostic system for electified railways

  • Original language description

    The authors set the problem of developing of the automated current collection failure diagnostic system based on receiving and processing the electromagnetic emissions in the radio frequency band from arc discharges. The paper determines the basic modes of current collection failures accompanied with electric arc between the pantograph and the contact wire. Two possible types of system structure are presented. The detailed algorithm of recognition of current collection failure modes is described.
