Analysis usability of the energetically passive sensors for the load monitoring of production press machines
Original language description
This article focuses on the analysis usability of the energetically passive fiber-optic sensors for the monitoring operating condition of the pressing machines. Nowadays the conventional approaches of the load monitoring condition of the pressing machines are based on using the strain gauges and piezoelectric sensors. These sensors are sensitive to electromagnetic interference, subject to corrosion and action of moisture and require the electrical power. The alternative way how to monitor operation condition of the press machines could be using the fiber-optic sensors that those failures have. Within the real performed experiments has been verified and analyzed fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensors and classic foil strain gauges (as a reference sensor). The measurement was performed on the hydraulic press ALPHA 4 from the company FORM + TEST Seidner, during a load of press in the range from 0 up to 2000 kN with a step of 500 kN
