Gas emission from underground areas to the surface from mines determined to be closed
Original language description
Underground gas flowing in territories disturbed by underground coal mining activity can affect safety of population by accumulation of explosive methane-air mixture in inadequately ventilated rooms. The paper deals with laws of gas flowing underground as well as with possibilities of underground gas flowing modelling. Surface methane flowing directions are influenced by premises built up by men in such kind of territory such as cellars of houses, subsurface garages, urban underpasses, sewage systems, reinforced isolated areas, asphalt's roads, parking places etc. As well as by atmospheric pressure conditions which can act favourably or unfavourably on explosion risk. The article is introduction into this problematics aimed at possibilities of minimising explosion risk in endangered areas
