Influence of Finish-rolling Temperature and Cooling Conditions on Properties of Ti-IF Steel Strip
Original language description
Influence of the finish rolling temperature and cooling rate on properties of strip from IF steel, microalloyed by titanium, was investigated in laboratory conditions. The finish rolling temperatures ranging from 1000 to 770 °C covered forming in the region of austenite, ferrite, as well as forming in the two-phase region. Cooling from the finish rolling temperature was realized either in the free air, or in a slowed-down way by charging into the furnace, heated to 630 °C for a period of 15 minutes. Theevolution of recrystallization and size of the resulting ferritic grains were determined by the metallographic analysis. The strength and plastic properties of strips were evaluated by the tensile test in the room temperature. Further, influence of temperature and the annealing time, necessary for the progression of recrystallization, was evaluated in the case of selected specimens.
