Moravia Silesia region passes through deep restructuring of traditional industries accompanied by huge unemployment. Clustering seems to be one of the ways out of current situation in the regional development. After the introduction to cluster theory a methodology of cluster research in the region is explained and the regional engineering cluster is presented including its development strategy.
