"New Approach" to Analysis of Consumer Behaviour as One of the Resources for Analysis of Individual Demand for Housing
Original language description
"New approach", one of the alternative approaches to consumer theory, is based on assumption that utility is not derived ffrom market godds but from various entities embodied in them. This approach was intensively developed especially during 1960's and 1970's and is closely connected with K. J. Lancaster and G. S. Becker. Their models can be used partly for the analysis of implicit markets nad goods differing in quality (depending on characteristics of goods). McDonald used their thoughts in his synthesis model of demand for housing and residential location.
