In today?s complex and dynamic world, where developments are increasingly loosing their linear character, we do not have to stress the importance of firms? systematic approach to the market. However, under the conditions of the Czech and Slovak markets,the adoption of such an approach by a considerable number of firms is still doubtful. The use of a wide range of methods of marketing analysis, which is necessary in every phase of a firm?s marketing management, is a part of the systematic approach to the market, and a firm?s movement within this market.
