The article is concerned with one of talent management processes - the acquisition of talents. The article is aimed at describing individual steps of the method of obtaining talented employees from internal sources. Such steps include not only the identification of key competences and the creation of a rating scale in order to specify talented employees' contribution to the organization but also the appraisal of performance and prediction of potential, and the creation of measuring scales for their measurement as well as the creation of a talent-pool. The output of the article is providing instructions how to identify talents from internal sources and how to use a potential of organization's existing employees.
