The aim of the article is to explain the issue of the evaluation of employees in organizations. The difference between the performance management and the performance appraisal is explained and the roles and responsibilities of specialists in the human resource management, managers and employees that are associated with performance management and its evaluation are characterized. The authors of this article deal with particular things, which must be considered during the appraisal system establishment.
