Original language description
Among the most utilized systems of employees? training and development belongs the Kirkpatrick?s model of training and development, where the design and selection of training activity is based on the employee?s or company?s needs. Main aim of this paperis to find the most important competencies that have to be developed so that the training activities are selected based on the needed development and so the employees can perform better and therefore bring a bigger value to the company. In order to determine and provide needed activity which enables the employees to be more productive, the author will use quantitative methods of economic analysis (AHP method and DEMATEL method) which will be used to evaluate key competencies required from the employeesby the company. To be able to identify core competencies, one position (the middle manager) was chosen for this illustration.
