Complex Evaluation of Corporate Social Responsibility using Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process
Original language description
Generally, the Corporate Social Responsibility concept could be perceived as a voluntary commitment of various organizations to follow principles of an overall sustainability and a social engagement. A broad thematic range of CSR integrating a large quantity of scientific fields and expert opinions leads to a terminological disunity resulting in many various definitions and characteristics. Another possibility to assess CSR performance of a selected sample of organizations is connected with a usage of multiple attribute decision making methods (MADM methods) and fuzzy logic. The main goal of this paper is connected with the application of the Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process method (FAHP) in a complex CSR assessment of three major electricity suppliersoperating in the Czech Republic. This paper proposes a systematic approach to evaluate CSR using linguistic scales that enable a decision maker to express his/her uncertainty and ambiguity in decision-making processes.
