THE RELATION BETWEEN SOME OF THE CHARAKTERISTICS OF HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS AND THEIR SUCCESS AT SCHOOL
Original language description
High school students move from adolescence to adulthood. At school, they are expected to be active, independent, responsible, able to concentrate and learn. It is evident that students differ from one another not only physically but also in intelligence, tthe quality and quantity of their current knowledge and in their characteristics. Each of them is good at different activities, some are talented, some can learn effectively, some are quiet, others draw all attention. At the same time, it is generallyknown that high intelligence does not automatically mean excellent school results and excellent school results do not definitely mean successful university studies and eventually career. In fact, successful students are those who have adequate rational abilities as well as required characteristics and motivation. The paper deals with the relation between some of the characteristics of high school students and their success rate at achool.
