Shape and size study of several components of friction composite
Original language description
Three types of materials that are components of friction composites were investigated. Two oxides Al2O3 and MgO and one clay mineral - vermiculite were milled using three methods a ball mill technique and jet mill technique, and their combination. Milledsamples were compared to particles on the friction surface after friction test. Aluminum oxide was proven to undergoing similar conditions during friction test as the one at milling simulation.
