Mechanical treated vermiculite particles - surface and size characteristics
Original language description
The natural vermiculite from Brazil (VB) after jet and ball milling was studied. The surface morphology, thickness and size of vermiculite particles were studied using atomic force microscopy (AFM). The AFM topographic measurements were used to characterize 60 samples of individual vermiculite particles. The surface changes were evaluated using BET specific surface area (SSA), external surface area and -potential measurements as a function of particle electrophoretic mobility (µ).
