Original language description

Considering the importance of the employee-organization relationship (EOR), this workshop presented by Anna Maria Engel and Tammo Straatmann gave a short overview of basic principles of developmental attachment theory. Furthermore, the relevance of attachment theory in the organizational context was shown, both from a conceptual side and from an empirical side. A core element of the workshop were deriving implications of the attachment perspective for organizational human resource management along the employee life cycle, as well as for organizational research. The workshop was a mixture of theoretical presentation, practical examples and practical exercises.
