The workshop presented by Anna Maria Engel and Tammo Straatmann focused on the stages of employee life cycle which are relevant for employer branding purposes, including attraction, onboarding, retention, transition and connection. In a first step, basics of employer branding were presented. Secondly, the workshop covered the onboarding process of new employees. Under the scope of retention, aspects of the psychological contract and the organizational commitment were discussed. As a last, but also important stage of the employee life cycle the workshop elaborated on the transition and connection stages. The workshop was a mixture of theoretical presentation, practical examples and practical exercises.
