The article deals with the EU-Russia Partnership Agreement and its application in practice. Especially it focuses on the decision of the European Court of Justice in case Simutenkov where the ECJ deduced the direct effect of the Partnership agreement andits provisions on the prohibition of discrimination of workers applicable by national courts. Thus, this treaty as other external EU treaties will have the potential of direct effect and application also in the Czech Republic.
