  • Original language description

The goal of the research was to compare differences in the results of the sentence repetition test applied to 3rd grade elementary school and speech and language elementary school pupils. The author used a subtest from the Heidelberg Language DevelopmentTest called as sentence repetition test. The sentence repetition test was applied to 30 pupils (R1-R30), of whom 12 (R1-R12) from a speech and language elementary school and 18 (R13-R30) from an elementary school of common type. In the pupils from a speech and language elementary school we recorded, compared to the pupils from a school of common type, more frequent changes in morphology and syntax, more frequent reduction of words, changes in the order of words and their morphology, changes in word prefixes, confusion of adverbs, redundant words, and changes in the meaning of the original sentence. The success rate of pupils from a speech and language elementary school was 64 % and those from an elementary school of common type 81 %. T
