Original language description
The contribution focuses on a contemporary view of speech and language therapy in people with symptomatic speech disorders in inclusive environment. The author would like to stress the importance of holistic assessment and speech and language intervention, with a special emphasize on, and reflection to, the contemporary EU tendencies related to implementation of strategies and principles of inclusive education and clinical environmental changes. Final emphasis is also put on the necessity of interlinking the pre-gradual curriculum for speech and language therapy qualification with special education knowledge and the knowledge of related disciplines and professions covering what is known as symptomatic speech disorders. In this sense, the speech and language therapist plays a role of both high importance and high responsibility. It is necessary, however, that the therapist be well prepared for this role by receiving quality pre-gradual training, which should not only cover knowledge and
