Didactic aspects of education in pupils with severe multiple disability
Original language description
The aim of this paper is to analyse and describe the didactic specifics of education in students with severe multiple disabilities. The didactic specifics mean organization aspects, forms of education and methods and strategies that are effectively usedin the educational process. The analysis presented in this paper uses data from a qualitative research study focused on education and its process aspects. The research included semi-structured interviews with 40 teachers, observation of education in 4 students and content analysis of 30 students with severe multiple disabilities. An inductive content analysis based on open coding was used for data analysis. The results of the study include a description of basic categories in particular areas. Flexibility from the teacher, use of non-traditional education methods and invention of original strategies for individual educational needs of particular pupils were described as typical features of education in pupils with severe multiple disabi
