Creation and Analysis of Primary School Pupils' Educational Text
Original language description
The aim of the paper is to describe the level of writing skills of pupils in primary school. We consider important to characterize the text in general and to focus more closely on the educational text, its functions, characteristics, types and sources of texts used in primary schools. We focus on characterizing the text, semantics of text, language and grammatical correctness of text and other parameters that can be extracted from the text created by pupils. This tells about the level of writing skills of primary school pupils in terms of developmental level, but also the level of understanding of the text and the formation of its overall written expression and reporting to other people. We have carried out qualitative research, where in the term of half a year pupils in primary school created texts within the framework of controlled activities. The texts were tied to texts from which they had been taught earlier, and on the basis of which they formed new texts. The aim was to verify how long the memory trace of mediated information persists in pupils and how to create a new educational text accordingly. It was not just about creating the text and using the core terminology in the new text, but especially about how a particular pupil explains the relationship between information, how it is used in real life, how it actually shifts information further and how. Through detailed qualitative analysis and content interpretation of educational texts, we have found very interesting and beneficial findings that we will present in detail in the article.
