Original language description

The field of classical music is changing radically – music is disseminated differently, consumed and performed differently compared to the past. The career of a musician is also changing, usually combining several types of jobs and professions. Most higher education music institutions are responding to these changes, although curriculum transformation cannot replicate the speed of change in the art music environment. This article focuses on the employment of graduates of music colleges and the response of Czech educational institutions to changes in the music profession.
