Original language description
The importance of convergence in product creation and foreign trade is analysed in the theories of integration optimum currency areas, etc. Great effort is usually aimed to increase the similarity and compatibility of the members of the integration and of acceding economies. The presented paper deals with the evaluation of convergence process and its results within the recent 10 years. The analysis is based on s the Finger-Kreinin index, Gruber-Lloyd index in time and territorial comparison. The obtained results indicate significant differences in structures of foreign trade. In spite of different comparative advantages of individual economies and an appropriate specialization, it is possible to see the convergence forces. The values and structure of intra-industry trade reflect the lag in competitiveness of economies under transition.
