On treating the general constraints in agricultural and forestry optimization problems
Original language description
Currently, real-life managerial decision problems are getting restricted by number of factors - such as environmental, ecological or energy issues - which have not been fully considered in the decision making so far. Hence, various constraints, which arenot to be easily mathematically described, arise in these decision problems. Consequently, the modeling of a decision problem by one of the mathematical programming approaches gets very complicated. Especially in agriculture and forestry management thisis the present-day case: these complex decision problems are often treated by oversimplified optimization models, whose results are not feasible for the practice at all. In this paper, the possibility of more realistic modeling of the complex constrained optimization problems in agriculture and forestry is studied using the results of mathematical programming, dynamical programming and optimal control. Several complex problems, which arise in the agriculture and forestry decision making
