Original language description
T he objective of t his st udy was t o evaluat e t he sit uation in somatic cell counts in one selected herd t hroughout t hree-years periodT he was st udy performed in t he experimental herd of the RIAP Nit ra, Slovakia, bet ween 2010 and 2013. Genotypes of purebred T sigai (TS), Improved Valachian (IV) and Lacaune (LC) and their crossbred Tsigaix Lacaune (TSxLC) and Improved Valachian x Lacaune (IVxLC) ewes on their 1-3 lact ation were investigated. SCC of milk was det ermined in 2632 milk samples collected from lactating dairy ewes. On t he basis of SCC t he dairy ewes were divided int o t he five groups: G1= SCC <100x103cells.ml-1, G2= SCC bet ween 100-300x103cells.ml-1, G3= SCC bet ween 300-600x103cells.ml-1, G4= SCC bet ween 600-1000x103cells.ml-1and G5= SCC >106 cells.ml-1t o st udy t he frequency of dist ribut ion of health problems of mammary gland in selected group of ewes t hroughout experimental period. In t ot al t he percentage of samples in first t hree groups was 78 %. T he ewes of T S and IV had higher percent age of samples in G1 and lower in G5 as compared wit h L, TSxLC and IVxLC. In conclusion, the high percentage of ewes in a groups under 600x103cells.ml-1could indicat e possible legislat ive limit for SCC relat ed t o good udder healt h in a fut ure legislat ive.
