Original language description
The influence of aerodynamic resistance of circular saw blades on the total cutting power needed to saw the thin wooden materials was appraised on the basis of experimental measurements. Research results are demonstrated in the paper on the example of sawing the particle board. Aerodynamic resistance has a decisive influence on the total cutting power. Under the described working conditions the power needed to overcome aerodynamic resistance at sawing the particle board of 16 mm in thickness was higherby approximately 50% than the net cutting power it self.
