The work evaluates the success of growing three-year old plantations of European beech on revitalized "dozer" sites in the Krušné hory Mts. and coeval artificial stands growing in the unpolluted region of Bohemian-Moravian Upland. Results of the researchdemonstrated that different technologies of mound spreading have not had an essential influence on the growth of beech plantations so far. Planting of beech into the intermediate strip between unspread mounds is not successful. The beech plantations growing in the Krušné hory Mts. on small clear-felled areas equal in terms of their growth the plantations growing in the unpolluted region of Bohemian-Moravian Upland. The successful growth of beech plantations in the region of Krušné hory Mts. requires regeneration on small-sized clear-felled areas with the protected microclimate and consistent protection against damages caused by game and small rodents.

Czech description

Práce hodnotí úspěšnost odrůstání tříletých kultur buku lesního na revitalizovaných "dozerových" stanovištích v Krušných horách a stejně starých kultur rostoucích v neimisní oblasti Českomoravské vrchoviny. Z výsledků šetření vyplývá, že rozdílné technologie rozhrnutí valů nemají zatím zásadní vliv na odrůstání bukových kultur. Výsadba buku do mezipruhu mezi nerozhrnutými valy není úspěšná. Kultury buku rostoucí v oblasti Krušných hor na malých holinách se svým růstem vyrovnají kulturám rostoucím v neimisní oblasti Českomoravské vrchoviny. Úspěšné odrůstání bukových kultur v oblasti Krušných hor vyžaduje obnovu na plošně malých, mikroklimaticky chráněných holinách a důslednou ochranu proti škodám zvěří a drobnými hlodavci.
