Original language description

A collection of grapevine hybrids and varieties has been established at the Mendel University of Agriculture and Forestry, Lednice na Moravě, Czech Republic coordinated by the national program for preservation of genetic resources. Approximately 290 Vitis hybrids and 40 varieties of Vitis vinifera L. are hosted in this germplasm repository. The accessions have been characterised for morphological, agronomic, biotic, and abiotic stress-related traits such as yield, acidity and sugar content, frost, and fungal disease tolerance. Among the others, two interesting interspecific varieties bred in Czech republic and hosted in our collection are presented in this paper: 'Laurot' and 'Malverina'...
