Methods for DNA polymorhism detection
Original language description
The most common variant in the mammalian genome is the single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP). The SNPs are present approximately every 250-1250 nucleotides. Development of methods to genotype these sites are very important in genetics research, gene mapping and marker association studies. The most of methods are connected with PCR. Use of following methods for SNP detection is described and discussed: PCR-RFLP, SSCP, RAPD, DGGE, TGGE, AFLP, sequencing, micro array and real time PCR.
