Ontogenetic development of the cytokine's profile

  • Original language description

Our research is aimed at immunoregulating role of cytokines and cortisol during postnatal development of experimental pigs. Observed cytokines (IL-1beta, IL-4, IL-8, IL- 10, IFN-gamma and TNF-alpha) were detected by ELISA method; cortisol by HPLC technique. Obtained results proved decrease of level of these matters between 1. and 18. days and between 28. and 31. days. Stressful events (birth and wean) occure during these intervals. So we clearly proved negative influence of stress.
