The effect of ionizing radiation on tissue enzymes.

  • Original language description

This work focuses on effect of the ionizing radiation on enzyme activity of proteins. The activity of alkaline phosphatase (ALP), acid phosphatase (ACP), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and L-lactate dehydrogenase (LD) was determined in pig liver and kidney that differ in isoenzyme patterns of hereinbefore enzymes. Tissues were taken from slaughterhouse, cut and sorted into three groups (10 samples/group). Samples were kept at 5 oC. The samples of two groups were irradiated with doses of 2.5 and 5 kGy, respectively, 24 hours post mortem. 60Co gamma-radiation was at the room temperature applied, dose-rate was 47.7 Gy/min. Our data indicate, pig liver and kidney are significantly different only in LD activity between irradiated and control samples (p < 0.05; n = 10). ALT, AST, ALP, ACP enzymes/isoenzymes in liver and kidney were found resistant to applied gamma-irradiation.

Efekt ionizujícího záření na tkáňové enzymy.

  • Czech description

Práce popisuje efekt ionizujícího záření na aktivitu enzymů. Aktivita alkalické fosfatasy (ALP, EC 3.1.3.1), kyselé fosfatasy (ACP, EC 3.1.3.2), alanin aminotransferasy (ALT, EC 2.6.1.2), aspartate aminotransferasy (AST, EC 2.6.1.1) a L-lactate dehydrogenasy (LD, EC 1.1.1.27) byla stanovena v játrech a ledvinách prasat.tissues that differ in isoenzyme patterns of the above enzymes. Tkáně byly ozářeny dávkou 2,5 a 5 kGy 24 h post mortem zářením gama (60Co).
